IoT Service Layer Platform

Introduction on Akraino Rel 5 Technical Meeting in March 2021 on Day 1 presentation (between 10:30 - 12:00) on IoT SL (Service Layer ) standardized Platfom (National Standard in India and Korea) that is integrated with 5G (3GPP 5G NSA & SBA specifications) and ETSI MEC (and Cloud Independant), with Horizontal and Vertical Scalability and Inter-operability and providing 15 Common Functions across 10 UCs (Use Cases) namely, Energy, Environment, Smart Building, Smart City, Industry Manufacturing, Agriculture and Food manufacturing, Wearables, Water Distrubution, Health and Ageing and Living well and finally, Smart Vehicles. E.g. Temperature is implemented in the same way in each and one of the 10 UCs. The IoT SL Platform supports/implements Semantics enblement and discovery and integrated/supports the NDL (Network Data Layer) in 5G with separation of NF related context data from the NF related Application Business Logic Data and stored in the 5G NDL as Structured and Unstructured Data.
