IEC Type 1 and Type 2 for Integrated Edge Cloud (IEC) Blueprint Family

Integrated Edge Cloud (​IEC) ​Type 1 (Small Edge) & 2 (Medium Edge)​ is a platform
that enables new functionalities and business models on the network edge. It targets
telco applications with small and medium deployments of Edge Cloud and supports Arm
processors and architecture.

Besides Type1&2, IEC Type4 supports AR/VR oriented edge stack. IEC addresses the use case

of telco/enterprise Edge cloud – for example, MEC or branch office data center and

telco/enterprise remote edge locations – edge platform with limited resources,

for example, SD-WAN, IoT gateway…

IEC is also tailorable to support other edge use cases, such as SEBA, uMEC, REC and

Eliot from ONF(AT&T), Nokia and HW.

IEC blueprint is open and work in progress to be more capable in the future.
