  • Completion of SDWAN value-added connectivity to ICN
  • ONAP4K8S Edge location Native Edge secure connectivity: Developing objects to represent
    • firewall definition,
    • NAT definition
    • IPSEC definition
    • MWAN3 definition
    • IPVS definition
  • Integration of "K8S Native Edge Secure Connectivity" feature with corresponding ONAP4K8S CLUSTERLCM_SDWAN Controller and ONAP4K8S APP_LCM_SM Controller.
  • IPSEC tunnelling between SDWAN controller in each edge location
  • Intercommunication between the edge location using SDWAN HUB
  • E2E testing

  • Developing Logical cloud in edge location with QoS
  • ONAP4K8S Upstream project with "Distributed Cloud Manager" and corresponding integration and testing.
  • Development on User, Namespace, Logical cloud controller along with DCM
  • E2E testing

Integration of OpenNESS with ONAP4K8s

  • Using KUD to install the OpenNess edge node and Openness controller
  • Using OVN4NFV in OpenNess
  • Helm chart deployment for OpenNESS in ONAP4K8s
  • Edge location ONAP Cluster schedule the workload directly in the OpenNess Edge location
  • Traffic Rules to set with OVN using Network Policy for External Provider Network

Distributed Analytics use case

    • Ensure that Distributed Analytics is upgraded with  OpenVINO
    • Ensure that Distributed Analytics uses acceleration features.
    • E2E testing

Enhancement of ICN Deployment

  • Infra-global controller using Cluster API
  • Offline installer
  • Improve the performance of infra-local controllers: Ensure that 3 node cluster is brought up in less than 5 minutes - 3 Minutes is ideal.
  • Reuse of bootstrap node as worker node for application workloads (Migration of infra-local controller micro-services from bootstrap K8S to application cluster as infra-local controller functionality continues to be required throughout the edge life cycle to enable software upgrades/patches.
  • L2/L3 Switch configuration automation (VLAN configuration and others)
  • Do necessary steps to take ICN to mature stage
