The Radio Edge Cloud blueprint is expected to run on multiple hardware configurations. The initial footprint targeted by AT&T is made up of a switch and up to two Nokia Open Edge clusters of five servers each. A single cluster is described on the Radio Edge Cloud Validation Lab page a deployment unit of one chassis or two, supported by a single 1U switch is expected to be a reasonable size for a REC appliance. Hardware variations including Dell and HP servers are also planned to be used for continuous deployment testing. We hope that contributors with experience in ARM based servers will add their knowledge to the blueprint. As specific hardware footprints are tested they will be documented as child pages of this page.

The OpenEdge servers are manufactured by Nokia and published under the Open Compute Project as http://files.opencompute.org/oc/public.php?service=files&t=ada3b7aabae6f81ae73c00a30ea6fa5a&download
