4 | Arm | Tina Tsou | With enthusiasm, I would like to nominate myself for consideration for the open Akraino TSC co-chair position. I currently serve as an Enterprise Architect with Arm, a technical leadership position on the Enterprise Open Source Enablement team. In this highly visible role, I analyze, design, and implement dynamic strategies to establish first tier status for Arm architecture within open source communities and projects. I utilize a thorough knowledge of relevant NFV/SDN and Edge Computing collaborative open source initiatives, open source development tools, processes, build systems, packaging, continuous integration, and test methodologies. As an open source thought leader within Arm, I develop and maintain strong partnerships with open source communities in support of multiple architectures, while prioritizing requirements for open source enablement in collaboration with Arm key stakeholders and relevant ecosystem partners. I represent Arm in evangelizing the open source community in relevant consortia and events. I previously excelled as the Digital Domain Expert for Connectivity at Philips Lighting, where I championed the company’s first NB-IoT solution. I facilitated the company’s transition from conventional lighting to LED and digital lighting technology. Expertly guiding new concepts into research and development, I thrived in the development of compelling new ways to connect people, places, and devices. Additionally, I was employed by Huawei (both in China and the US) for over 16 years as a Technical Lead and Principal Engineer. In these roles, I directed network architecture design, new product definition, product marketing strategy, technology research, standards definition, and embedded software design. My top contribution in this role was the design and delivery of Huawei’s first IPv6 network migration professional service product. I served as the Chair of Open Source SDN Breckenridge Working Group, where I earned the distinction of being the first woman from a Chinese business enterprise to chair an IETF working group. I also held multiple leadership positions in the ETSI and the ITU-T; I previously served as the Vice Chair of Northbound Interface WG with the Open Networking Foundation and have been the IETF Simplified Use of Policy Abstraction (SUPA) BoF Chair. For the past year I have served as an Akraino TSC co-chair. I hold a seat on the Linux Foundation Networking (LFN) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), and LF Edge TAC alternative member. I lead VPP/AArch64 activities in FD.io—representing the Arm ecosystem in TSC. I currently direct the OPNFV Auto project as PTL, integrating ONAP onto OPNFV (upon both x86 and Arm architecture and hardware) with a focus on Edge Cloud use case and test case. I previously served as the project manager of the ONAP VNFSDK project, delivering multi-architecture to ONAP. I have been awarded over 100 patents and 15 IETF RFCs, including the early RFC of 6lowpan. I earned my Bachelor of Computer Science from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technologies in China. I earnestly welcome the opportunity to contribute as co-chair of Akraino’s TSC. Thank you for your consideration. | N | Y | ||||||||
